SUEZ and Empresa Pública de Águas de Luanda, the water management company for the provinces of Luanda, Icolo and Bengo, have launched a new contract to modernize the water supply in these three provinces.
A £314,000 solar project at Penwhirn Reservoir, near Stranraer, has been completed. The project installed 294 solar panels, generating enough green energy to boil 706,666 kettles annually.
The plant produces 4,500 MWh/year of biogas from 60, 000 tonnes of sewage sludge, which is injected into the public natural gas network to replace fossil fuels.
