KSB launches new slurry pumps
The LCC Gen2 slurry pump series maintains the proven hydraulic system while featuring new upgrades like a front pull-out shaft seal design and integrated lifting points to enhance serviceability and durability.

The new pump sets are based on the proven predecessor type series whose hydraulic system has been tried and tested worldwide. The pumps offer numerous enhancements regarding serviceability and durability.
The LCC Gen2 retains the trusted hydraulic system of the first-generation series, but introduces significant upgrades in serviceability and spare parts compatibility. Key updates include a front pull-out shaft seal design that allows seals to be changed without removing the bearing assembly. Threaded flanges allow easier piping connections, and zinc-plated fasteners enhance corrosion protection.
A more robust bearing assembly increases durability in demanding applications. The expeller can now be added or removed without altering other major components. The GIW® LCC Gen2 was developed with direct customer feedback to make the pump even easier to service. The redesign – featuring integrated lifting points and easier fastener access – was carefully considered to deliver a truly maintenance-friendly pump that cuts downtime and ownership costs.
The LCC Gen2 series is available with three wet-end configurations that share the same mechanical end, allowing operators to tailor pumps to their process conditions. The rubber-lined LCC-R Gen2 can, in the right conditions, deliver twice the wear life of the metal variant. The new pumps are made of Gasite® 28G high chrome white iron for excellent wear resistance. Most major parts are interchangeable between first and second generation pumps, streamlining spare parts management and reducing inventory costs.
