As regulatory standards for wastewater disposal tighten across the globe, the demand for pumps and equipment capable of enduring harsh fluids is on the rise. Tsurumi pumps made of 316 stainless steel casting include the following series: LH, LHW and SFQ. The SQ Series is constructed from 304 stainless steel, while the TM Series is crafted from titanium. The TM Series, made from a combination of resin and titanium, stands out as a submersible pump uniquely suited for handling seawater, making it indispensable for applications near oceans and saltwater lakes.

“Titanium’s exceptional corrosion resistance and impressive strength-to-weight ratio make it indispensable in specialized applications where conventional materials fall short,” Nelson added.

Additionally, cast iron is another cornerstone material in some of Tsurumi’s most durable pumps, prized for its robustness and impact resistance. Cast iron sump pumps represent enduring, long-term investments, capable of withstanding high temperatures with minimal risk of internal shock. This material also offers cost efficiency and expedited manufacturing processes, adding to its appeal.

“Cast iron is a time-tested material characterized by its long life and durability,” Nelson said. “Its high tensile strength makes it ideal for components exposed to significant stress, and its excellent corrosion resistance properties make it a cost-effective solution for a multitude of applications.”
