Ovarro to showcase Smart leakage tools at Water Loss Asia

Ovarro is supporting partners across Asia with a solutions-focused portfolio of leakage reduction technologies and SCADA telemetry systems, which its experts will showcase at Water Loss Asia, Royale Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 19 – 20 November 2024.

Of key interest will be Ovarro’s latest addition to the market, EnigmaREACH, a fully automated lift-and-shift correlating hub for expanded network coverage and rapid leak detection. The end-to-end managed service combines either 32 or 64 Enigma loggers, a companion app for logger deployment, data retrieval and point of interest (POI) follow-up, along with access to Ovarro’s analytics platform, which automatically performs correlations to identify POIs for technicians to pursue.

UK utilities, trialling EnigmaREACH after a July 2024 launch, identified 35 PoIs, with a 98% success rate. The trials are ongoing, with the system delivering significant time savings and efficiency gains. One water company already confirmed 60 hours leakage detection saved by EnigmaREACH against normal practice in a small DMA.

Ovarro’s next-generation leak noise correlator Eureka5 will also be demonstrated at the event.

The tablet-based system correlates pipe noise data in real time, displaying leak information in the EurekaGo app.

Eureka5 has recently yielded success in Cotabato City on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines, where it pinpointed two elusive underground leaks – one of which was 3m below ground - to support the non-revenue water reduction efforts of Metro Cotabato Water District (MCWD).

Other technologies to be presented at Water Loss Asia include the soon-to-launch Mikron5 ground microphone system, next generation Xilog data logger, the full range of Enigma correlating noise loggers and the ControlPoint system, which offers a range of services to reduce the risk of leakage associated with pipeline installation and repair.
